June 20
Salute to America3pm the Gates open at the Jeffersontown Square and food trucks fire up.  Afternoon into evening — patriotic music, Todd Herendeen on Elvis & Neil Diamond, Farmer Steve, face painting & photo booth. As night falls — the Night Market glows and they celebrate America’s birthday together. 10pm — they close out a night to remember. Come for an hour, stay for all seven. See you at the Square.

July 2 – 5
4th of July Weekend at French Lick Resort – Their special celebration of Americana has it all, including poolside fun, music and outdoor activities. It all starts with a bang at our grand fireworks display the evening of the 4th.

Play America – Join us for The Louisville Orchestra’s free Independence Day Weekend Community Concert, “Play America” celebrating America’s 250th anniversary of the United States Declaration of Independence. This family-friendly event promises an evening filled with music, food trucks, and free fun activities. America Place at River Ridge, 6pm.
 
July 3 
Thunder Over Radcliff This is Radcliff’s annual 4th of  July celebration. Bring your lawn chairs and chill out around your vehicle to watch the show. Food will be on-site to enjoy while waiting for the show. 8:00-10:00pm
 
J-Town Stars & Stripes Fest – Jeffersontown Amphitheater on Friday, July 3rd, featuring country music star JD Shelburne live in concert. Kick off the holiday weekend with a fun, family-friendly night of live music under the summer sky, 6pm.

 

July 4 

Crescent Hill July 4th Celebration – Plan to attend the Crescent Hill July 4th Celebration. Music, Art Fair, Kids Zone with FREE Inflatables & Field Games, Prizes, Food, Dessert & Beer Trucks, Pet Contest, Cake Baking Contest, Opening Ceremonies, Cake Wheel, and more. Friday, July 4. Free and open to the public.

Louisville City FC – They‘re celebrating America’s 250th anniversary at their next home game with a STACKED evening. A complimentary Stars & Stripes straw hat courtesy of Ford Motor Company to the first 3,000 fans, Live music, Postgame firework and more! Game starts at 8pm

Celebrate 4th of July with free ice cream from Dairy Del. Free cone to kids ages 12 and under when they recite the Pledge of Allegiance. 11am-9pm

Locust Grove Dawn’s Early Light Locust Grove feels a profound responsibility to approach this July Fourth with intention. They invite you to join them before dawn on the morning of July 4th, gathering around a sacred fire tended by local Indigenous Elders. Together—with guidance from spiritual, religious, and cultural leaders from across our city—they will welcome the sunrise in song as dawn breaks on this 250th anniversary. 

Paristown Fourth of July – General admission includes access to Christy’s Garden, Brent Street, GA bars, food hall eateries, and outdoor vendor market. One personal lawn chair per person is permitted in designated areas only. Children ages 10 & under free with each ticketed adult. Limit one child per ticketed adult.

Fort Knox Freedom Fest – Freedom Fest retuns to Fort Knox Brooks Field on July 4, and this year’s celebration is BIGGER THAN EVER as they help commemorate America’s 250th birthday. Bring your family and friends and come celebrate the Fourth of July with the brave men and women of the United States Army!

July 4th Cruise – Celebrate the Fourth of July during America’s 250th onboard the historic Belle of Louisville! Enjoy tunes from DJ Jaybird, a full bar and concessions, and a beautiful summer night onboard one of Louisville’s most famous National Historic Landmarks.

Waterfront Park 4th of July – Join them at Waterfront Park for a uniquely Louisville Fourth of July celebration as part of the A250 commemoration, honoring 250 years of American spirit through music, culture, and community. This free event on the TurfMutt Great Lawn features a full evening of family-friendly activities, local food and beverage, and a dynamic lineup of live performances curated by the Kentucky Performing Arts and produced by Jou Jou Presents. From gospel and Appalachian traditions to Latin fusion, Americana, and soul, the evening showcases the sounds that continue to shape American music. 5-10pm

I Too Am a Kentuckian – Frazier History Museum, Free Admission from 1-4pm if you say “I too am a Kentuckian” at admission! Family engagement, Exhibition tour with Simon, and more!

4th of July Community Celebration and fireworks extravaganza in Prospect, Cowley Park: 7902 Westover Drive. Event at 6pm, fireworks at dark. Band, activities for kids, Kona Ice, food trucks, and fireworks.
