Review of King Donuts in Lyndon

Over fall break, my kids and I had a whole Friday to do something fun together, so we opted for dough(do)nuts for breakfast. How do you spell it?! Louisville Family Fun has a Donut Directory- check it out below! We ventured over to Lyndon and tried King Donuts, and it did not disappoint! No doughnut has ever really let me down, though!

Donuts filled the cases to the brim as we walked into the very small mom and pop shop. It was pretty quiet in there when we arrived around 9am, but within 30 minutes the bell was ringing constantly as the door opened and closed and the place was hopping. My son tried a simple sugar topped regular doughnut, my daughter tried a chocolate cake doughnut, and I tried the pumpkin cake doughnut. Regular, glazed, cake, and old fashioned donuts line the cases. They were delicious, perfectly baked with that homemade aura about them.

Single doughnuts cost 75 cents or $1.00 each. A dozen ranges in price from $7.99 for a dozen regular to $8.99 or $9.99 for a dozen variety, which really isn’t bad! In addition to typical donut shop doughnuts, they have a seasonal offering, danishes, and fritters as well. They also serve a variety of cold and hot drinks, coffee, and breakfast croissants and sandwiches as well as a few lunch menu sandwiches. There is a small eating area with 3-4 tables and chairs to enjoy your doughnuts at the shop.
