COMMUNITY SUPPORTED AGRICULTURE or (CSA) is all the rage these days. Fresh, in season, fruit and veggies grown in Louisville is a wonderful thing but they fill up fast. We have some resources below that will help you find one near you.

Many Louisville area farms offer local CSAs with a variety of fresh, in-season produce and some are even doing farm-raised meat. Food always tastes better when you know where it comes from and who grew it. 

We are all spending more time and home and cooking making the options to get a Louisville CSA box is becoming more and more popular. We have put together some options for you to learn more about CSAs and where you can get yours. 

The Kentucky Department of Agriculture is a great resource to learn about local CSA boxes. They have an updated list of farms that are offering boxes and events to help teach the general public about CSA. 


Meadow View Meadowview Farm & Natual Habitat Gardens located in Crestwood has a few options when it comes to CSAs. They are offering free farm pick up and delivery for $15 and you can customize what you put in your weekly box, based on what is harvested from the farm. Orders can be pick up Wednesdays from 8:00 am – 6:00 pm or Saturdays from 8:00 am – 6:00 pm. Delivery’s are Wednesdays from 8:00 am – 6:00 pm or Saturdays from 8:00 am – 6:00 pm.


Rushing Greens farm in LaGrange offers 3 leaves of membership so you

can pick the one that will work best for your family and budget. You can pay for your membership before the season or 4 weeks at a time. Pick up is available every 2 weeks from the farm. Pick up times will be posted on their website once the plants are ready to harvest. To reserve your membership send an email to the farmer. Please leave your name, contact info and which share you would like.


Skinner Farms in Shelbyville has meat and produce in their online farm store. Visit their site to build your close-to Louisville CSAs. They also offer CSA meat packages with different options. There is a deposit due at the time of ordering and the full amount due at time of pick up. They are offering curbside pick up from the farm. Visit their website to place your order.
