Spring has arrived and it’s Kentucky Derby Festival time! Louisville is teeming with things to do this time of year. Find your FREE April fun here!

Friday, April 4: Caesars Foundation of Floyd County FamFest is one of the Kentucky Derby Festival’s 2025 Kick-off events! A FREE Family-friendly event celebrating the best parts of Festival: featuring inflatables, live music, elements of Derby Festival, face painting and more! attendees will receive a custom FamFest event pin (while supplies last) that offers entry to Pin-admission events during the 2025 Derby Festival.
Monday, March 31-April 5: Spring Break at the Library is the place to be. Some of the activities include a slime party, gaming challenges, Escape Rooms and more! Check out their website for all the details!
Saturday, April 5: Spring Street Festival, 12-9:30pm, The Alcove at 246 Spring Street. Music, food, and family fun!
Friday, April 18: Earth Day Fest at the Parklands of Floyds Fork. Celebrate Earth Day from 5pm-9pm with live music, food, beer, trivia, community partner booths, vendors, and more!
Saturday, April 19: Puppy Palooza at Westport Village from 11am-2pm. Bring your furry friends to join us for a paw-some afternoon.
Saturday, April 19: Block Party, this free event, returning with the support of Churchill Downs and Humana and the Derby Festival’s Derby Equity Community Initiative (DECI), will be held at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center and will feature food trucks, a marketplace, live entertainment, and more. 10am-8pm
Saturday, April 19: Baby Prom 2025 You’re invited to the cutest event of the summer – Baby Prom. Children ages 6-36 months and their caregivers are welcome. They want to see babies dressed up in their finest duds, best glam, and favorite outfits.
Sunday, April 27: The Farmers Market at Norton Common opens for the season! The hours are 12-3pm and it will be open every Sunday. Norton Commons is a great neighborhood for walking and boasts multiple playgrounds and locally-owned businesses. Additional Farmers Markets around Louisville can be found here.
